LG NeON® 2 BiFacial is designed to utilize both sides
of the PV module for absorbing more light and generating
more energy. It also adopts the prizewinning Cello technology
which replaces 4 busbars with 12 thin wires to enhance power
output and reliability. It is possible to produce a surplus of output
energy with LG NeON® 2 BiFacial compared with normal monofacial



  • LG NeON® 2 BiFacial has an enhanced linear
    performance warranty with a max. annual
    degradation of -0,5 %. Thus, LG guarantees a
    min. of 86 % of the nominal power even after
    25 years of operation.

  • LG NeON® 2 BiFacial has been designed using
    LG’s new CELLO technology. The cell efficiency
    on the rear side is only slightly lower than on the
    front side.

  • LG NeON® 2 BiFacial gives good performance
    even on a cloudy day due to its very good weak
    sunlight performance.

LG’s new module, NeON™ 2, adopts Cello technology. Cello technology replaces 3 busbars with 12 thin wires to enhance power output and reliability. NeON™ 2 demonstrates LG’s efforts to increase customer’s values beyond efficiency. It features enhanced warranty, durability, performance under real environment, and aesthetic design suitable for roofs.



  • LG NeON™ 2 cell produces energy from both the front and back. By absorbing light from even the backside, the cells raise efficiency. This makes LG NeON™ 2 cells particularly more efficient than conventional cells in mornings and evenings when the incident angle is lower.

  • When micro crack or finger electrode erosion happens by natural degradation of mechanisms in the outskirts of the solar cell, LG NeON™ 2 reduces down performance by blocking the electrical path due to the tight layout of wires.

  • The boron (B) and oxygen (O) pair within the p-type cell eliminates the electrons that were created to generate energy. But inside the LG NeON™ 2, there are almost no B-O pairs. This is why LG NeON™ 2 has almost no LID*.
